Word of advice: Sell Fresh Apples

We're sampling on the streets of Montreal this month and the one thing we hear over and over again, "gosh these apples are good. I dislike getting the mushy/mealy/soft/insert adjective of choice". Most people are surprised when we mention that many apples in the produce department are quickly approaching their first birthday. No wonder they are soft!

Words of wisdom: Be a brave retailer and sell just fresh crop apples. That means New Zealand, Chile and South Africa apples in the late spring and summer months. And Quebec, Ontario, BC, the Maritimes and USA in the fall and spring.
