No fair - they want it in US dollars, there was no warning, $40 is a lot of money especially when it is the final day of your trip and you weren't aware that it was going to cost you to leave and it was cash only leaving the Quito airport.
To think I used to complain about the $10 - $15 departure fee that Vancouver, BC had!
I could write more but this post Airport departure is a greedy annoyance says it all.
