Taken on Isla Genovesa (Tower Island) - this is one of the smaller islands covering just 14 sq km - and here you find plenty of birds - from red-footed boobies to the great frigate-brid, Nazca boobies and many more. Pack sunscreen. Watch your feet. You don't even need to tip-toe - these birds don't give a hoot that you are checking them out.
The sea lions and fur seals just lolly around on the islands. The sand on this beach was flour smooth - it felt totally delicious betweeen my toes. It was wonderful wandering around and taking snapshots of these creatures - I was amazed how touchy feely they were with each other.
Visiting the Galapagos Islands opens your eyes to a very primitive world - one that I hope others get to experience. And the word primitive is meant in a positive fashion. Aren't these guys beautiful?
